Anna Zlotko
— designer, creator of the Anna Zlotko brand, member of the Union of Designers of Russia, director of the museum and art residency for artists “Maryin Dom”, author of the “Mama Doma” project, mother of many children.
When creating her dresses, Anna is inspired by the traditions of northern embroidery and wood painting, the sewing craft of village craftswomen — their dresses are so skillful that they were passed down by inheritance.
ANNA ZLOTKO is not mass production: when creating collections, Anna does not follow a calendar, but works relying on inspiration and customer demand.
“My collections are a monologue about life in the harsh northern nature, where everything around is muted and dim. Sometimes I want to become a part of it, and that is how collections in the colors of the earth, old and gray wood are born. And sometimes, on the contrary, I want to be heard, and then the dresses bloom with bright colors.
My Russian North is a deep, long history, the nobility of nature and man, eloquence and texture.”
The clothing is sold through social networks; there is a small showroom at the workshop, and in Moscow, the clothing can be purchased at the “Byl-Nebyl” gallery.
In the summer of 2019, Anna opened the “Maryin Dom” art residency in her native village - a museum named after the folk northern storyteller Marya Krivopolenova, and with it a space for creators that attracts new life to the northern hinterland.
Workshop address - Arkhangelsk, Gagarina St. 46, room 513
