"Andeli" Workshop TM
Olga Balashova
In the Pomor dialect of the Russian language, which is still used on the shores of the White Sea, "Andeli" is an exclamation of extreme surprise, admiration, joy, or fright. Something like "Heavenly angels!" And at fairs, I am often told stories about how long, long ago a grandmother would say about all the children who burst into the house in a crowd: "Andeli, andeli have flown in!"
My workshop specializes in painting wooden toys. And angels, of course, make up the main part of the products. I also have horses, Christmas tree decorations, jewelry, and textiles.
